Well done Madam Mayor

{Play}Funds raised for Prospect

Alastair-Swanwick-Bruce-Gauntlett-Emily-Trow-Barbara-Bouffard-Zoe-Luke-Swanwick The Mayor with her family, Alistair Swanwick, Bruce Gauntlett, Barbara Bouffard and Zoe and Luke SwanwickOn Friday, 20 March our Town Mayor Councillor Emily Trow hosted a gala dinner in aid of one of her two mayoral charities, Prospect Hospice.  Guests enjoyed a welcome glass of bubbly, a two course dinner, live music from The Memoirs and took part in an auction and raffle.

There were some very generous raffle and auction prizes donated by supporters and people were able to donate directly to Prospect on the night too.  We hope the successful winners will enjoy their stay in a villa in the south of France, a trip around Poole Harbour, a day at Newbury Races, tickets to Mantonfest, a day clay pigeon shooting and lots, lots more.

We're still totting up the total but because of everyone's collective efforts it looks like it is creeping above £9,000 - a fantastic achievement, thank you!

dinner-guestsOur Mayor has a long list of thank yous, not least to her family: in particular Bruce Gauntlett and Julie Swanwick worked closely with Andrea Millar at the Town Council to arrange the event, organise prizes and invite guests.  Other thanks, in no particular order, go to Juliette & Paul Howard, Ramsbury Brewery, Alastair Swanwick & Barbara Bouffard, Jerry & Lorraine Shutter, The Sangster Bloodstock, Charlie O’Farrell & all in Ramsbury, Beryl Upton, Marlborough Golf Club, Tony Mulliken who was compere on the night, Nonie Fawcett who cooked the delicious dinner, Prospect CEO Jeremy Lune and Prospect volunteers, Mantonfest, Naked Wines, MA Hair & Beauty, Barbury Castle shooting school, Woodworking workshop, White Horse bookshop and Coco & Roses.

We took lots of photos at the drinks reception - if you were there and would like us to check whether we snapped you, please get in touch!
