The Area - Marlborough Parish

Marlborough Parish, which includes the town of Marlborough and the village of Manton, represents the majority of the population of the MANP area with a population of 8092 (2011 census).

Marlborough is the geographic, economic and social heart of the area, surrounded by the other three named parishes.  

Marlborough is situated in the Kennet river valley between the slopes of the Marlborough Downs to the north with Savernake Forest to the south.
