{Play}Opening the Mop Fair

On Saturday, 7 October, our Mayor, Councillor Nicholas Fogg, Town Councillors and 'Boy Mayor' Elwin joined the Showmen's Guild Western Section to formally declare the Mop Fair open.

Elwin graciously stepped in for the Mayor to take part in the rides - tradition has it that children accompanying the Mayor on a ride get to ride for free.

The Mop Fair returns as Big Mop on Saturday, 14 October.
