The Notice of Referendum, Timetable of proceedings and Situation of Polling Stations information has been published for the Marlborough Area Neighbourhood Plan Referendum. This includes information about postal and proxy voting if you are unable to attend a polling station on 23 March.
Referendum on the Marlborough Area Neighbourhood Plan
For the electoral areas in the parishes of: Marlborough, Mildenhall and Savernake
A Referendum will be held on the following question:
Do you want Wiltshire Council to use the Neighbourhood Plan for Marlborough Neighbourhood Area to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?
1.The poll will take place on Thursday, 23rd March 2023.
2.Applications to register to vote must reach the relevant Electoral Registration Officer by 12 midnight on Tuesday 7th March 2023. Applications can be made online: www.gov.uk/register-to-vote
3.Applications for postal and postal proxy votes must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Electoral Services, Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge, Wiltshire, BA14 8JN by 5pm on Wednesday, 8th March 2023.
4.Amendments or cancellations to existing postal, postal proxy and proxy votes must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Electoral Services, Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge, Wiltshire, BA14 8JN by 5pm on Wednesday, 8th March 2023.
5.Applications to vote by proxy at this referendum must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Electoral Services, Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge, Wiltshire, BA14 8JN by 5pm on Wednesday, 15th March 2023.
6.A person can apply to vote by ‘emergency’ proxy if they learn they cannot go to the polling station because of their occupation, service or employment, or a medical condition, illness or disability arises, after 5pm on Wednesday, 15th March 2023. Applications must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Electoral Services, Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge, Wiltshire, BA14 8JN by 5pm on Thursday, 23rd March 2023
