Welcome Councillor Mark Luson
Introducing your new Marlborough Town Councillor.
At an extraordinary meeting of Full Town Council held Monday, 29 November, Mr Mark Luson was elected to fill a vacancy in the West Ward. He officially became a Councillor on Friday, 3 December 2021 when he met with Town Clerk Richard Spencer-Williams to sign the acceptance of office and told us he was honoured to have been appointed.
In his application, Mark, who is a serving Army Officer, explained that he had chosen to live in Marlborough for its beauty, history, and strong sense of community. Interested in building on strong links with schools, the development of the town retaining its charm and beautiful countryside and keen to help with the recovery from the pandemic, Councillor Luson is looking forward to getting to know residents better as he gets involved with Council activities and projects.
