(TM) and Marlborough Community Orchard (MCO) for the upcoming pruning even
t that will take place on Saturday 9th of March starting in Wye House Garde
n in Marlborough, before moving on to St Mary’s churchyard, then to the esp
alier trees in Waitrose car park as well as those in Priory Gardens, ending
at St Peter’s churchyard. The main jobs will be to take care of any necess
ary pruning as well as carrying out weeding, mulching, tidying, tie and sta
ke adjustments, giving the trees some much needed t.l.c.
<p style

Wye House Garden and we hope to finish by around 1230. You can join us for

able to attend at the start you are most welcome to call Philippa Davenport

sp; Trish Rowell will be with us as usual to help those who wish to learn a
bout pruning, improving their technique and/or learning about general fruit
tree care. We will be able to answer questions about Marlborough Com
munity Orchard’s ethos of helping to make Marlborough a town in an orchard
rather than one with an orchard. If you do attend and you have them,
can you please bring secateurs, loppers, pruning saws and/or long handled p
runers. A trowel or small fork, as well as a kneeler would be useful
for weeding around the base of the trees if you would prefer this type of w
