Orchard Road Play Area
Temporary closure
We apologise that the play area will be closed for a few days over the Easter holidays to enable resurfacing of the footpath. The exact timing of the closure will be weather dependent and signs will be put up locally.
Wiltshire Council is undertaking the work during the Easter holidays to minimise disruption to path users. The path through the playground is part of a footpath used to get to/from St John's school for many students. Although this isn't ideal for playground users, Wiltshire Council felt the wider benefit for pedestrians was the priority.
Nearest alternate play areas are at the Recreation Ground and Cooper's Meadow.
