Thank you to Vicky Ellis for sending us this unusual photo of the Town Hall, all set up ready for the annual Christmas Lunch.

Vicky, her family, friends and volunteers step up to organise this Christmas Lunch each year.  And in 2023 it was an incredible 21 years since it was first founded by Nigel and Joy Kerton, with granddaughter Vicky picking up the lead role a few years ago.  The lunch is open to anyone who would otherwise be alone on Christmas Day - with home deliveries available for those who can't make it to the Town Hall.

The Town Council donates the free use of the Town Hall each year, but, as Vicky says, there are so many others who come together to make this event possible: amazing volunteers, incredible sponsors and generous people who donate food, raffle prizes - and even the use of a professional kitchen.
