The Marlborough Area Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group has issued an update on progress

In readiness for the next stages in the neighbourhood planning process, The Marlborough Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group is in the final stages of amending the plan in response to comments received on the first draft. The next step will be to submit it to Wiltshire Council (Regulation 15) to check that the correct procedures have been followed, and that all required documents have been submitted. Wiltshire Council will then arrange for an independent examiner to check that the plan meets the basic conditions.

If the MANP passes these tests, the local authority will organise a public referendum (vote), so that everyone who lives in the MANP area can decide whether they support it. We expect this now to be sometime in the Autumn due to the waiting list of neighbourhood plans that need processing.
