At the South West in Bloom (SWiB) awards ceremony in Newquay Marlborough's community groups swept up awards, the town’s pubs won accolades and our Mayor, Cllr Mervyn Hall was invited up on stage to receive the coveted Gold Award from Bloom Patrons, Lord and Lady Fellowes.

Marlborough in Bloom has much to be proud of, helping to steer the town towards another successful entry into this important regional Royal Horticultural Society competition. Committee Chair, Anne Lovett, and Secretary, Diana Whitcutt, sat alongside the Mayor and Mayoress with Assistant Town Clerk Clare Harris to listen to fabulous comments about just how well Marlborough, its businesses, and communities had done.

News travels fast and the President of Marlborough in Bloom, Steve Pascall, was delighted: "This is tremendous for Marlborough in Bloom.  Our Committee members, It's Your Neighbourhood groups and community volunteers all work so hard towards this competition.  Let's not forget the huge effort and dedication of the Town Council Grounds Team too.  We couldn't do it without them!"
