Urgent Closure of: A338 (Part), Shalbourne

WILTSHIRE COUNCIL HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that on 17th August 2021, the following length of road shall be closed to all traffic in the interests of public safety to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out removal of dangerous trees affected by Ash dieback disease and associated works.

A338 (Part), Shalbourne; from its junction with Picadilly Crossroads to its junction with Carvers Hill.

Alternative route: via A338 (unaffected length), A4, A346 and vice versa.

The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.

Access will be maintained for residents andbusinesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

These works will commence on 17th August 2021 and are anticipated to be required for 18 days between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00. This Notice will have a maximum duration of 21 days.
