Marlborough Wins Gold!

Gold!

Our Mayor, Cllr Mervyn Hall, the Town Council’s Grounds Team, Marlborough in Bloom Committee members and It’s Your Neighbourhood entrants met up at the Town Hall to celebrate the town’s success at being awarded a Gold award at the South West in Bloom ceremony on Thursday, 5 October in Torquay. Marlborough is now the owner of a SWiB Gold Award flag which is flying proudly above the Town Hall.

The Mayor said: ”This is a huge achievement for Marlborough and our thanks go to Anne Crawley, who also scooped up an award for the best portfolio and to her MiB team and all those groups and projects who brought so many winning certificates back. I would like to say a special thank you to our Grounds Team who put in hours of time and effort in really bringing up the standard across our sites to help bring back the prize and for all of us to enjoy throughout the year.”  Press Release... and Awards List

L-R: Mark Stroud, Dave Martin, Town Mayor Cllr. Mervyn Hall, Michael Haines, Manager Nigel Weatherly, Ryan Atcherley and Aaron Presley
