A Boost for Alzheimer's Support

Town Mayor and Dementia Friend Cllr. Mervyn Hall was delighted to hand over a grant cheque for £500 to Sarah Marriott and Pam Marshall for Alzheimer’s Support to help fund their weekly drop-in sessions, held every Thursday at the Jubilee Centre between 2-4pm, where a Dementia Advisor and Care Co-ordinator are on hand to talk to anyone affected by dementia. If you’re worried about your memory, or the memory of a family member just pop in - there's no need to book.

A number of Councillors and members of our staff are also Dementia Friends after receiving training at an open day held in the Town Hall in May 2016.
