Christmas Lights 2022
There was another amazing turnout to Marlborough's Christmas market and lights switch-on on Friday, 18 November
Market traders set up bright and early and the market was in full swing on a cold morning as Christmas music filled the street to add a little cheer. Families called into the Town Hall where grown-ups could have a cuppa while the kids met Father Christmas and made Christmas crafts, including crowns.
There was street entertainment from angels Corvus Angelicus and the Christmas Quacker ducks caused a few surprises! Phoenix Brass played seasonal tunes in the middle of the High Street while the steps of the Town Hall were transformed into a stage. Roger Grant was our compere to introduce the ever popular performers from Marlborough Academy of Dance and Drama, St John's (Renee, Matilda, Rosie, Daisy and Sammy) and LED Fire Poi from Bobby and Elisha. Everyone joined the Mayor to count down to the switch-on then Amanda and Phil rounded off the evening's entertainment.
