You are invited to the next meeting of Marlborough Area Board taking place on Tuesday 23rd January in Marlborough Town Hall starting at 7.00pm.  Everyone is welcome to come along and listen to the items on the agenda and take part in the decision-making.

This time, we will be taking a look at Marlborough's past with talks from some of the heritage groups within the town:

  • Mervyn Hall, from Marlborough History Society will be speaking about the work of this local group
  • Clyde Nancarrow, Chairman of the Merchant's House Trust will be talking about this 17th Century building is located on the High Street, which contains many original features, several of national importance

Also on the agenda, Andrew Jack, Community Engagement Manager, will give an update looking at the work that has gone on throughout the community area that addresses the issues identified in Marlborough's Joint Strategic Assessment. The JSA was developed from a community event in February 2017 that compiled a range of issues of high importance for the area.  Since then, a lot of work has taken place that supports and improves these.  For the list of JSA priorities, take a look here.

This is on top of the usual items and updates from our partners as well as a number of grant applications to be decided.

The meeting starts at 7.00 and there will be coffee and networking from 6.30 with a chance to meet with and find out more from tonight's speakers.
