11:00-16:00 - Living History re-enactors in the Merchant's House on the High Street

11:00-14:45 - see the Royalist gun battery being put in position on the Common - displays of drill by the troops
15:00-16:00 The Battle of Marlborough on the Common
16:15-17:00 - see the Royalist gun battery on the Common

saturday only

11:00-11:30 - religious debate in St Mary's Church

The event in St Mary's Church is proposed as a performance of sermons from a Puritan and a Ranter or a Laudian priest, with a question and answer session covering the various sects and explaining the religious divide during the period of the Civil War

SUNDAY ONLY

11:00 - wreath laying on the High Street at the blue plaque commemorating the battle (outside the Castle & Ball Hotel)

   WARNING!   BATTLES ARE DANGEROUS AND VERY NOISY
Anyone wishing to watch this battle does so entirely voluntarily, and it is a condition of entry that neither the organisers, the English Civil War Society, the King's Army nor the Roundhead Association can be held in any way responsible for any damage, loss or injury, however caused.  Loud noises and explosions may form part of the display.  Nobody is to cross any barriers at any time without authority.  Children, dependents, vulnerable persons and animals must be kept under control at all times
