30 Years of Meetings on Record

minute-books-2

Since the local government reorganisation in 1974, most of the Town Council’s meeting minutes were in folders in storage in Swindon. Our Councillors took the decision that these should be accessible to everyone and kept in the proper conditions suitable for historic documents, and in February this year the loose leaf minutes were bound and sent to the Wiltshire & Swindon History Centre in Chippenham for all to see, joining the Marlborough  Borough Council Minute Books, going back more than 100 years.

We've now made some of those more recent minutes available online - click here to access the minutes of ALL our meetings going back to 1988.  And if you don't recognise the two past Mayors pictured below, all will be revealed as we've added the name and a photo to show who was Town Mayor for each of the years listed.
