The Town Council and Action for the River Kennet (ARK) jointly own Stonebridge Meadow, a wonderful piece of open space on the eastern edge of town. Cllr Don Heath sits on the Management Committee which oversees the day to day running of the meadow and spent some time on Monday, 23 July taking part in a River School with Marlborough St Mary's. He and his wife led the bird watching element of it where pupils used new children's binoculars and bird bingo sheets to identify various species. Did you know that 76 different species have been recorded there?

Find out more about ARK's activities here - and if you'd like to get involved there's a moth night on Friday 27 July.
